He himself gave the College the advowsons of Stanground and Farcet in Huntingdonshire and of Queen Camel in Somerset. Henry Hastings, third Earl of Huntingdon, who shared Mildmay's Puritan sympathies, in 1586 gave us those of Loughborough in Leicestershire and North Cadbury and Aller in Somerset; while Sir Francis Walsingham (brother of the Founder's wife) gave Thurcaston in Leicestershire in 1585.

The corners of the clasps are engraved with a tiny acorn motif.
